The most important facet of estate planning is the intent of the client.
Once the client decides how to leave their assets, our job is to achieve those
objectives while satisfying 4 other goals:
1. Keep IRS and NCDOR out of the picture;
2. Keep courts and Lawyers out of the picture;
3. Protect your beneficiaries from in-laws, creditors and others;
4. Put your family in control of the process.
We can show you how to avoid or eliminate taxes, eliminate the probate process, and bulletproof the property going to your children and heirs for life. We make it simple so that your family can settle the estate.
We do not charge for an initial consultation for estate planning matters. (This does not include estate administration or elder law matters.) We will quote you a fixed fee at the end of the consultation. We know you do not like surprises. We will also come to you if you are not able to come to our office.
Our fees for estate planning are very reasonable: Typically from $700 to $1,000 for a complete estate plan for a couple with children which includes
wills with trusts for children and grandchildren, powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney and complete instructions on how to set up your assets to completely avoid probate. Additional help with funding is available.
